Younique product test and rewiew!

Hey y’all. I have been trying my best to upload another post, but work has been off the chain. BUT I’m glad I finally have time to site down and get a chance to talk to you!

Oooookay, so I’ve never really tried out Younique products before, and I think that’s because I never really knew anyone that sold them. Butttt, my friend Taighlor started selling it and she’s doing really well. So I got some products to try and review for you guys if you’re interested in trying it out as well! Visit
Taighlor’s site to shop! She’ll hook you up!

So I have the completed looks uploaded already. It turned out greatttttt. I posted the products on my Instagram, and I didn’t get to put the liquid lipstick on for this look because it didn’t really match, but I will swatch and review it after this.

So here are the swatches of the Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palette. This is palette 4. It comes with 7 shades. 4 are matte and 3 are shimmer. Once my brush dipped into these and I used them on my eyes, they have a lottttt of pigment. I’ve heard that these palettes last forever because a little goes a long way. (by the way the lightest shade is a shimmer and doesn’t show up well on my arm because i’m super pale right now, but it’s a bomb brow highlight and inner corner shade) “arrogant” and “brave” were my transition and crease colors, “secretive” went on my lid, “cheerful” went on my outer corner, and a mix of “cheerful” and “triumphant” went on my lower lash line.

Next are the Moodstruck Minerals Pigment Powders. These are loose pigments and I really like these! I used the orange shade as my transition along with the shade “arrogant” from the palette.

And finally is the Touch a la mode Cream to Powder Luminizer. YALL I’m buying more shades because this is BOMB. This is in shade “Benevolent” which is a golden frost. These are in stick form and I literally took the stick and drew on my face and just buffed it out with a brush and they turn into powder highlights! Great for collar bones too! I’m in love!

Here is the final look! Hope you all enjoyed! Leave me some feedback whether you liked this, and what else you’d like to see!

big wings, glitter lids

hey beauties. I’m literally sitting on the couch eating pizza and watching the food network with all this makeup on. Like I literally need no occasion lol.

I’m planning on going to get some drugstore products that I think can work as dupes for higher end products. So I’ll post on some of those later if I can find some good ones. If you all have and ideas, let me know in the comments.

So today I decided to go a little bold on this makeup look. I used rusts, pinks, and blues, and they all came together and looked great. My liner turned out a liiiiiiitle okay a lot thicker than I originally planned…but it works.

I used an array of different products. Here they are:

Moisturizer: Ponds Crema S Nourishing Moisturizer

Primer: Maybelline Master Prime

Eyeshadow: Nyx single eyeshadows (I used a rust color, bright pink, and bright blue)

Glitter: Wet n Wild glitter single in shade brass

Foundation: Tarte empowered hybrid gel foundation in shade light-medium sand

Concealer: Tarte Shape Tape in shade light

Setting powder: Revlon Photoready powder

Contour: Wet n Wild Megaglo makeup stick- contour in shade 806 where’s walnut? also used Benefit Hoola.

Blush: Wet n Wild coloricon ombré blush in shade 317B In a Purple Haze

Brows: Cherimoya eyebrow pomade

Liner: Wet n Wild Megaliner in Black

Waterline: Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

Mascara: Too Faced Better Than Sex

Highlight: Wet n Wild megaglo highlighting powder in Precious Petals

Lips: Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick in shade Buttercup

Processed with VSCO with f2 preset

The more I look at these pictures the more I can hardly see the glitter on my eyes. I swear it’s there. lol

before we go..

If you all have any questions or can think of any tips for me, please let me know in the comments! Also let me know of some great drugstore brands I should try out for y’all!

new obsession

sooooo, I had literally been bugging everyone at work about how bad I wanted a new eyeshadow palette. I kept looking online and in stores for something that had the colors I wanted. I already have palettes with multiple orangey-brown transition shades and browns and blacks. I wanted something with some pops of color for spring and summer. Then, of course, on Instagram I saw Lorac’s new I Love Brunch Palette.

Now, I already own Lorac’s Pro palette and their contouring palette and they are both AMAZING. The colors are smooth and pigmented and they blend easily. When I looked at the shades in the brunch palette (I’m just going to refer to it as the “brunch” palette, it’s easier) I saw they were all pastels. People are always afraid of pastels, they think the lighter brighter colors won’t look good on them…WRONG. I was, however, skeptical if they would be pigmented enough.

Well the next thing I knew I was in line at Ulta purchasing it. lol. Here’s what I think:

  • The colors are SUPER cute (the names are cute too, they’re all brunch related, like hot sauce, mimosa, etc).
  • The formula is the tried and true Lorac perfection. They are velvety smooth and PIGMENTED.
  • The palette comes with Lorac’s eyeshadow primer and a dual-ended brush. I use the brush almost every time I apply it. Sooooo, it’s a dang good brush. One is a blending brush and the other could be used a crease/packer brush.
  • The palette has a few transition shades (I use the shades “hot sauce” and “bloody mary”). The shades “mimosa” and “sunday funday” could also be used.
  • There are plenty of fun colored shades like “avocado toast” and “blueberry scone”.
  • A whole eye look can easily be created. There are both matte and shimmer shades.
  • It’s $44. Which is comparable to any other high-end cosmetics brand.

All in all, I LOVE this palette. I use it absolutely every day. It can be used for everyday work wear or going out on the town looks. Great purchase. If you’ve tried it, let me know what you think and show me some looks!

my new blog!

Hey guys! My name is Haley and this is my very first time blogging. I’m a busy Registered Nurse from Kentucky that spends all her free time doing something with makeup. I started being obsessed with makeup when I was a child. My mother would tell me that I would steal her lipsticks from out of her purse and smear them all over my face when she wasn’t looking. My fascination with makeup only grew, and I can tell you that there was never a day from middle school until college where I wasn’t wearing makeup. My fiance is one of the only people besides my family that has seen me barefaced if that tells you anything.

The turning point for me happened when I reached my 20’s. Instagram and Youtube were my biggest inspirations. I was (and still am) fascinated with makeup tutorials. I’ve learned sooooo much from those Instagrammers and Youtubers about how I apply my makeup. Laura Lee, Jeffree Star, and Manny MUA are some of my biggest inspirations. I am finally at a point in my life where I am more confident about makeup and I want to share what I know with others so they can learn all they can just like I have. I’m a 100% new blogger and have no idea what I’m doing. But if you love makeup as much as I do, check me out and we’ll exchange tips and our love for everything beauty.
