Makeup Revolution palette look and review!

Hey y’all. I had been seeing some things on other blogs about the brand Makeup Revolution. I had seen some lip kits and some eyeshadow palettes, but this one really caught my eye. It’s called the Fortune Favours the Brave palette.

There are matte, shimmer, and marbled shades in this palette. I did a complete look with it as you can see.

Here are some of the swatches, not all.

blog 46

The reason I didn’t swatch all was because the matte shades blended in with my skin tone. I also wanted to show off some of the shimmers and marbled colors.

So, here’s my verdict:

  • The palette is pretty and has lots of shades for the price. 30 shades total. It also comes with a brush.
  • The pan sizes are pretty tiny, so this may not last a long time if you’re going to make this an everyday palette.
  • The transition shades are okay, but I was really looking for a burnt orange matte shade and this palette just didn’t have it. However, I think some of their other palettes have more warm transition shades.
  • The matte shades are not as pigmented as the shimmer and marble shades. I really had to go in a few times to get them to show up.
  • The shimmers and marbled shades are my favorite. I would use the palette for these.
  • Overall a pretty decent palette for the price.

Thanks for reading everyone. If you have any questions or ideas, please comment!

$1 makeup y’all!

hey guys! Today I wanted to do a review on my $1 MAKEUP I found! I originally saw a post from Laura Lee reviewing some $1 makeup on her channel. She had some luck with it, so I thought I would give it a try and let you all know what I thought.

The website is Shop Miss A and literally all the makeup is $1! What a deal!

So here are all of the products I ordered. I got 2 liquid lipsticks (one matte, one metallic), eyeshadow glitter, an eyeshadow trio, and a fan brush.

blog 40

The fan brush is actually really awesome. It’s super soft and picked up my highlighter well. It applied the product well, but I feel like a smaller brush would put my highlighter right where I wanted it for a more precise application.

The eyeshadow swatches and glitter is below. The swatches were not that bad, guys. It applied really well to my lids, too. The eyeshadow is not too powdery either. I approve! The glitter is a really pretty color, as well. I applied eyelash glue and then applied the glitter, and it did NOT come off easily. I do feel like the colors looked a little different online than what I got in the mail. But for $1, I’m cool with it.

blog 39

Lastly, the lipsticks. The one I have on in the picture is the matte shade, called “likes”. The formula is pretty great for being only $1. The lipstick itself is thin, but a couple of coats is all it takes to make the coverage completely opaque. The formula isn’t too drying, either.  The metallic shade is bomb, too. The shade is called “candy”. Will definitely be wearing again! (don’t mind the left over glitter on my hand)

blog 41

I would definitely recommend Miss A for some affordable makeup products. I literally paid $1 for each item and the shipping was around $3.50. It also took less than a week to arrive! What a great find! Let me know what you all think, and if you have any affordable makeup sites to try!

can we talk about Colourpop’s metallic lipsticks?!

okay y’all. so the whole metallic/unicorn/holographic lipstick is huge right now. So of course I wanted to find a great affordable lipstick that would slay. So where did I find this gem?…..COLOURPOP.

So I’ve tried Colourpop’s matte liquid lipsticks, and while the colors are great and they’re affordable, they’re very drying. I usually have to put a lip balm on before I apply.

But THESE are great, you guys. The pigment is insane, the metallic effect is awesome, and they aren’t drying. Win win! While they aren’t kiss-proof, they still last a long time in between touching up. I love this! AND I got it during one of Colourpop’s sales for $4! Let me know what you all think!

Younique product test and rewiew!

Hey y’all. I have been trying my best to upload another post, but work has been off the chain. BUT I’m glad I finally have time to site down and get a chance to talk to you!

Oooookay, so I’ve never really tried out Younique products before, and I think that’s because I never really knew anyone that sold them. Butttt, my friend Taighlor started selling it and she’s doing really well. So I got some products to try and review for you guys if you’re interested in trying it out as well! Visit
Taighlor’s site to shop! She’ll hook you up!

So I have the completed looks uploaded already. It turned out greatttttt. I posted the products on my Instagram, and I didn’t get to put the liquid lipstick on for this look because it didn’t really match, but I will swatch and review it after this.

blog 7

So here are the swatches of the Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palette. This is palette 4. It comes with 7 shades. 4 are matte and 3 are shimmer. Once my brush dipped into these and I used them on my eyes, they have a lottttt of pigment. I’ve heard that these palettes last forever because a little goes a long way. (by the way the lightest shade is a shimmer and doesn’t show up well on my arm because i’m super pale right now, but it’s a bomb brow highlight and inner corner shade) “arrogant” and “brave” were my transition and crease colors, “secretive” went on my lid, “cheerful” went on my outer corner, and a mix of “cheerful” and “triumphant” went on my lower lash line.

blog 11

Next are the Moodstruck Minerals Pigment Powders. These are loose pigments and I really like these! I used the orange shade as my transition along with the shade “arrogant” from the palette.

blog 12

And finally is the Touch a la mode Cream to Powder Luminizer. YALL I’m buying more shades because this is BOMB. This is in shade “Benevolent” which is a golden frost. These are in stick form and I literally took the stick and drew on my face and just buffed it out with a brush and they turn into powder highlights! Great for collar bones too! I’m in love!

Here is the final look! Hope you all enjoyed! Leave me some feedback whether you liked this, and what else you’d like to see!

big wings, glitter lids

hey beauties. I’m literally sitting on the couch eating pizza and watching the food network with all this makeup on. Like I literally need no occasion lol.

I’m planning on going to get some drugstore products that I think can work as dupes for higher end products. So I’ll post on some of those later if I can find some good ones. If you all have and ideas, let me know in the comments.

So today I decided to go a little bold on this makeup look. I used rusts, pinks, and blues, and they all came together and looked great. My liner turned out a liiiiiiitle okay a lot thicker than I originally planned…but it works.

I used an array of different products. Here they are:

Moisturizer: Ponds Crema S Nourishing Moisturizer

Primer: Maybelline Master Prime

Eyeshadow: Nyx single eyeshadows (I used a rust color, bright pink, and bright blue)

Glitter: Wet n Wild glitter single in shade brass

Foundation: Tarte empowered hybrid gel foundation in shade light-medium sand

Concealer: Tarte Shape Tape in shade light

Setting powder: Revlon Photoready powder

Contour: Wet n Wild Megaglo makeup stick- contour in shade 806 where’s walnut? also used Benefit Hoola.

Blush: Wet n Wild coloricon ombré blush in shade 317B In a Purple Haze

Brows: Cherimoya eyebrow pomade

Liner: Wet n Wild Megaliner in Black

Waterline: Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

Mascara: Too Faced Better Than Sex

Highlight: Wet n Wild megaglo highlighting powder in Precious Petals

Lips: Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick in shade Buttercup

The more I look at these pictures the more I can hardly see the glitter on my eyes. I swear it’s there. lol

before we go..

If you all have any questions or can think of any tips for me, please let me know in the comments! Also let me know of some great drugstore brands I should try out for y’all!

Thanks!
